The obverse of the Unity and Liberty 10 oz silver bar is an elegant depiction of Liberty wielding an American flag in her left hand and a sword in her right. The Great Seal’s scroll waves above her with “E PLURIBUS UNUM” inscribed on it. A shield with the words “IN GOD WE TRUST” can be seen towards the bottom-right corner close to her feet. A checkered design diverging from her back fills out the background of the design field. This background is also repeated on the reverse.
The reverse of the 10oz silver bar features a depiction of a fasces, which typically symbolizes America’s unity, military readiness, and yearning for peace. Wrapped around the fasces, with its fangs bared, is a snake. It is debated that the snake symbolizes America’s readiness to strike back if its unity is threatened.
